Tagetes patula, french marigold. Pinwheel is a heirloom variety.

This french marigold produces a mass of yellow and red bicoloured flowers. The plants reach up to 70 cm in height. Pinwheel is a truly stunning, heirloom marigold. Ideal in borders, beddings.   

Sow Marigold Pinwheel seeds from late March onwards inside or outside from May, in small pots, or in fine seedbed.
Sow the seeds about 1 cm deep and keep them at a temperature of 18-22 Celsius. Can be sown directly outside from May. 

Transplant the marigold outside from late May, to a sunny/partly shady position. Acclimatize the young plants to outdoor conditions before planting to final position. Leave 20-30 cm between the plants.
