Grow and make your own spice.
From Hungary. 35-45 cm tall bush.

As easy to grow as any other sweet pepper. The fruit matures to a deep red. Excellent sweet flavour. Plants grow to 35-45 cm tall only. The fruits are about 15 cm long and pointing upwards on the plant. Can be grown in pots, growing bags.

Harvest when fruit is fully coloured. Hang the peppers in a dry place or gently dry them in the oven. When completely dry, use a mortar and pestle to make your very own spice.

Sow pepper seeds about 1 cm deep into a seed tray or in small pots or cells. Cover lightly, water and place inside at between 20-25 Celsius. To aid germination, place the tray in a plastic bag.
Sow January-March.
Germination can be slow.

As soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out.
Transplant the seedlings into small, individual pots. Use rich compost and keep the plants between 20-30 Celsius during the growing season.
 
For best production, keep the plants in the greenhouse. Regular feeding is recommended.
