Silene laciniata is a perennial flower. Stunning star shaped blooms.

Silene Jack Flash is an easy to grow perennial. Flowers the first year if the seeds sown early spring. Jack flash originates from California, and also called Indian pink. The bright red, deeply cut flowers are eye catching. The plants are in blooms for a long period. A must have if you want to fire up your garden.

Sow the Jack Flash seeds on a surface on a good seed compost and cover the seeds with a fine sprinkle of compost or vermiculate and seal the tray in a plastic bag to aid germination. Place the seed tray on a sunny windowsill or a propagator and keep the temperature between 14-21 Celsius.  Germination can take up to 20 days. Keep the compost moist at all times.

Transplant the seedlings into individual pots when large enough to handle and gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting outside to the final position, after all risk of frost has passed in your area.
