Overview
Heritage variety, the original wild type was collected around 1695 in Sicily!
Description

Heirloom sweet pea with classic simple blossoms, which are deep purple and violet bicoloured.
The bushy plants produce masses of flowers, which are amazingly scented; this makes the variety a must-have in any modern garden.
This original wild sweet pea was sent to England in 1699 by Franciscus Cupani, a Sicilian monk.

Sow in seed compost, January-March under glass or in April-May outdoors for flowers June-September. For earlier blooms, sow September-October and overwinter in a cold frame or greenhouse. To speed up germination you can soak the seeds overnight.

Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle, harden off before planting out. Pinch out the growing point in order to have stronger side shoots. Pick regularly to encourage more flowers. Prefers full sun. Requires support.

"Great choice of vegetable seeds and the best deal I could find online"

"I placed my first order with you last Saturday and the seeds arrived this morning (Tuesday). This is excellent service and very good value. We will buy all our seeds from you in future and will recommend you to our friends. Well done and thank you!"

"I ordered a single pack of seeds earlier this year and was impressed by your competitive prices and the speed of service. Based on this experience, I just ordered 15 packs of seeds for next year's season and have been again most impressed - excellent prices and amazing service - the order was delivered the next day - i.e. within 24 hours.

Well done and thank you!"
