Overview
Old favourite variety. Heavy cropper, good flavour.
Description

Ailsa Craig is a great traditional tomato variety. Suitable for outdoor and greenhouse production. The medium sized green back fruits are early in the season.

Sow Tomato Ailsa Craig seeds about 1 cm deep into a seed tray or in small pots or cells, covered lightly, watered and placed at between 10-18 Celsius at least on a windowsill, heated greenhouse or propagator. Sow the tomato seeds February - April.
Germination takes 8-11 days.

As soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out. Transplant the seedlings into individual small pots, later on they might need to be repotted if growing quickly and large. Make sure the leaves do not overlap. Temperature during this stage should be 12-20 Celsius.

Plant outside mid-May-June 80x60 cm, or keep in the greenhouse.

Keep watering in dry spells, especially when flowering and when the fruit is setting.
Remove side shoots and stop the plant growth when 5 trusses have set.

"Great choice of vegetable seeds and the best deal I could find online"

"I placed my first order with you last Saturday and the seeds arrived this morning (Tuesday). This is excellent service and very good value. We will buy all our seeds from you in future and will recommend you to our friends. Well done and thank you!"

"I ordered a single pack of seeds earlier this year and was impressed by your competitive prices and the speed of service. Based on this experience, I just ordered 15 packs of seeds for next year's season and have been again most impressed - excellent prices and amazing service - the order was delivered the next day - i.e. within 24 hours.

Well done and thank you!"
