The orange juice takes away the bitterness and the crunchy almonds and sweet raisins are sure crowd pleasers<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seedparade.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/spruitjes-in-sinaasappelsap.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-3147\" src=\"https:\/\/www.seedparade.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/spruitjes-in-sinaasappelsap-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.seedparade.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/spruitjes-in-sinaasappelsap-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.seedparade.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/spruitjes-in-sinaasappelsap-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.seedparade.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/spruitjes-in-sinaasappelsap.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Serves 4:<\/p>\n<p>750grams of sprouts, halved<\/p>\n<p>75grams of butter<\/p>\n<p>1 orange juiced<\/p>\n<p>\u00bd orange zest<\/p>\n<p>Salt and pepper<\/p>\n<p>25-35grams of shaved almonds, toasted in a dry pan<\/p>\n<p>50grams of raisins<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n<p>To &nbsp;a pan add sprouts, juice and butter and the zest, cover and heat gently .<\/p>\n<p>Leave for 8-10 minutes or until sprouts are soft (depends on their size)<\/p>\n<p>Shake or stir pan once in a while to make sure nothing sticks.<\/p>\n<p>Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle over the toasted almonds.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>My tips: too much zest can make the dish bitter, I find halve an orange works well.<\/p>\n<p>Cloves and nutmeg go well with this dish, but as this recipe is aimed to please children, you might want to be careful &nbsp;with these.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recipe and photos Gardeninglady<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another sprout recipe aimed to people and especially children that nevee liked sprouts before.
