I’m going retro with my Christmas feast, to the 70’s to be precise with shrimp cocktail, cheese fondue and black forest gateau and  Irish or royal coffee, depending on taste…Merry Christmas everyone!<\/p>\n

\"garnalen<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Serves 8-10<\/p>\n

For the sauce:<\/p>\n

1 tub of fresh cheese like Philadelphia<\/p>\n

4 tablespoons of mayonaise<\/p>\n

2 tablespoons of ketchup<\/p>\n

\u00bd tablespoon of brandy or cognac, or more to taste<\/p>\n

Salt and pepper<\/p>\n

Tabasco to taste<\/p>\n

1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce<\/p>\n

Pinch of smoked paprika (sweet)<\/p>\n

1 clove of garlic, pressed<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

For the salade:<\/p>\n

Watercress or lambslettuce<\/p>\n

1 apple, diced finely<\/p>\n

4  halves of peaches from a can<\/p>\n

100grams of chicken or turkey flesh (cooked leftovers)<\/p>\n

Dille to taste<\/p>\n

Appr. 500grams of shrimps, I\u2019ve used frozen, but you can also use ready cooked ones<\/p>\n

Squeeze of lime for the apple<\/p>\n

Method:<\/p>\n

Bring water to the boil to blanch the shrimp, if you use cooked, you can skip this step \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Make the sauce  by combining all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl, season to taste.<\/p>\n

Blanch the shrimp until they turn pink, , drain and rinse under caold water, leave to cool then remove intestins if needed.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile chop the left over chicken of turkey, Apple, peaches with lime juice to prevend discoloring, add dill and the cooled shrimps, season to taste.<\/p>\n

To serve put a handful of lettuce in the bottom of little bowls, add a dollop of sauce then add the shrimp salad, dress with a little more sauce<\/p>\n
