Tomato Sungrape produces grape shaped, mini plum fruits on indeterminate plants. The trusses are really big and spreading, having up to 60 fruits on one truss. Very tasty mini plum fruits with firm, meaty texture; ideal for snacking or in summer salads. Resistant to splitting but the skin is still thin, high level of sweetness and acidity balance makes Sungrape tomato a really tasty tomato. Grow Sungrape, Sungold and Black Cherry tomatoes together for a wonderful produce of sweet and beautiful cherry tomato crop.

Sow the Sungrape tomato seeds thinly into a seed tray or in small pots or cells, covered lightly, watered and placed at  15-25 Celsius on a windowsill, heated greenhouse or propagator. Sow February - April. Germination takes 8-11 days.

As soon as seedlings have 2 pairs of true leaves, prick out and transplant the seedlings into individual small pots, later on they might need to be repotted if growing quickly and large. Make sure the leaves do not overlap. Temperatures during this period should be 12-20 Celsius. Plant the cherry tomato plants outside mid-May-June (most importantly when there is no risk of frost in your area) 80x60 cm, or keep in the border of the greenhouse in a growbag or in rich, moist soil.

Support developing stems with twine as they grow. Various training systems are used with tomatoes, but for all it is desirable to have the top metre of growth vertical. Side-shoot removal must be carried out from the start, restricting the plant to one main stem. Stop the plant growth (pinch out the very top of the plant) when 2-3 trusses have set. Side shoot removing is necessary throughout the growing season. Lower leaves should be removed as they start yellowing, which aids fruit ripening and improves air movement.
