Myosotis alpestris is a hardy biennial flower. A dwarf forget me not reaching only 15 cm in height. Ideal as a late winter - early spring flower if grown under glass. The compact plants produce masses of ultramarine flowers, a traditional feature in the english garden. Ideal for early spring display.

Sow the seeds thinly about 0.5 cm deep in late spring - early summer outside in a well prepared bed or in seed trays, containers. Keep the tiny flower seeds moist, germiantion 10-20 days.

Thin out the seedlings when large enough to handle. And transplant the plants into their final position in the autumn for flowering in the following spring.

If you keep them under glass in pots or in containers, these plants will flower in late winter, early spring.
