Sow from middle of January to end of March. The seeds need fluctuating temperatures to geminate well and germination can take up to three weeks. Make sure thatthe temperature drops at night for greater germination.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Hardenoff and plant out when all risk of frost has passed in your area, about 30 cm apart. Cleome prefers a rich well drained soil and plenty of sunshine.
