Create a herb garden from seeds

Our extensive range (more than 40 varieties) of herb seeds are available for just 99p per packet. Whether you are after an annual or you want to grow a permanent perennial shrub, we have them all. Most of the seeds can be sown all year around and grow well on your kitchen windowsill. Herbs were often used for medicinal purposes or for companion planting, but nowdays their culinary use is what desired the most. Growing herbs from seed is very easy, and much cheaper option than buying potted plants, or cut herbs from the supermarkets. Coriander for curry, parsley for your soup, or basil for a lovely Italian dish, you can find them all in our catalouge. Basil, coriander, parsley, chives can be sown any time of the year inside, use 7-10 cm pots and good quality seed sowing compost. Place the pots in the warmest place in the house, possibly in the airing cupboard, so that the heat will speed up germination. Check on the herb seeds regularly and when the first seedlings appear place the pots onto the kitchen windowsill. Turn the pots around every other day so that every seedling get enough light. This way you can have delicious herbs growing all year around. Or sow them directly outside from late spring onwards till July.
