Person Author: Lajos Szabo Calender October 29, 2015 Posted No Tags Comment No Comments

The adage is true, and since the plants we eat all start from seeds, it just makes good health sense to start an organic garden with organic vegetable and herb seeds. Since plant seeds are in the soil for long periods of time, absorbing whatever is in the soil, there are a multitude of benefits you will reap when planting organic seeds. Consider these pros when selecting your garden seeds. * Organic seeds come from plants that were grown in organic gardens. No chemical pesticides or fertilizer was used in growing the plants, therefore there are none of those potentially harmful chemicals in the soil. If no harmful chemicals were in the soil or used on the plants, there will not be any in the vegetable or

About Seeds

Person Author: Lajos Szabo Calender December 14, 2013 Posted No Tags Comment No Comments

All of our seeds and any seeds you buy in the EU are non - GMO! So don't be afraid to try growing some lovely purple podded peas, it is actually a heirloom variety. We are asked the question almost every day on social media and via email if any of the seeds we sell is Genetically Modified? Hard to believe we are in June now. The good weather we have had over the last couple of weeks has really made a difference. Everything is growing so fast, I can hardly keep up with the potting up, tying in and pinching out! I have baby tomatoes set on some of the early plants, young peas and broad beans and flowers on my chilli's. My bush tomatoes were planted out in pots and tubs outside last week and are looking good with lots of flowers. The bed and borders are full and lush, with little spare space for any new plants, but as I have grown oriental poppies, helebores and himalayan cowslips from seed, I will have to find room somewhere! The soft fruit is looking great and there is a good set on the currants and blueberries. My garlic that was planted in October is gro
