Spencer mixed Stripes is a vibrant mix of striped and flaked flowers in shades of burgundy, pink, rose and lilac. Sweet peas makes a stunning addition to any garden and are highly attractive to butterflies.
Sow in seed compost, January-March under glass or in April-May outdoors for flowers June-September.For earlier blooms, sow September-October and overwinter in a cold frame or greenhouse. To speed up germination you can soak the seeds overnight.
Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle, harden off before planting out. Pinch out the growing point in order to have stronger side shoots or pinch out the side shoots to grow the plants really tall. Pick regularly to encourage more flowers. Prefers full sun. Requires support.
