Noel Sutton is a well established favourite with pretty, fragrant, lilac blooms.
This long stemmed variety is ideal for use as a cut flower and has 3-6 flowers per stem. This climbing plant makes a beautiful feature and will attract butterflies to your garden.
Sow in seed compost, January-March under glass or in April-May outdoors for flowers June-September. For earlier blooms, sow September-October and overwinter in a cold frame or greenhouse. To speed up germination you can soak the seeds overnight.
Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle, harden off before planting out. Pinch out the growing point in order to have stronger side shoots. Pick regularly to encourage more flowers. Prefers full sun. Requires support.
