Darkmar 21 brussels sprout is an open pollianted maincrop variety. Ideal for producing for a long period of time, the sprouts are large and dark green.

Sow the brussels sprout seeds early March to end of April in a seed tray or in small pots inside, or in a prepared seedbed outside, about 1 cm deep, at a temperature about 13 Celsius.

Transplant into final position when plants have 4-6 leaves and are large enough to handle. Prefers half shady position and rich soil. Spacing 50 x 50cm.Water well during the summer period, protect from slugs and pigeons.

The sprouts are ready to harvest from late October-January.
