Catananche caerulea Amor Blue is a hardy perennial but flowers the first year. The blue - purple flowers have a resembles of cornflowers. A great perennial flower for borders, or to plant together with other perennial in larger clamps. Perfect for bees and other pollinators.

Sow the Catananche caerulea in the spring under cover inside on a surface of good quality compost. Keep the temperature between 17 - 23 degrees for best germination rate. Germination can be slow up to 3 weeks.

Transplant the seedlings into individual pots after about 3 weeks after germination. Plant out in May - June to a sunny position. Keep them weed free and water generoisly. Tolerates a wide range of different soils.

The stems will grow up to 80 cm tall.
